Our aim is to create the highest quality designs and products while making a positive contribution to the world we leave for future generations.

At SPOS we aim to take proper account of the nature and scale of the impact of our activities, products and services on the natural environment. We have a commitment to prevent pollution and to develop, document, implement, maintain and continually improve our Management System and maintain our operations and services to a high standard consistent with current regulation and guidance.

As such, the Company is committed to:

• Continual improvement in the environmental impact of its business activities
• Improving the environmental benefits derived from the products it designs
• Preventing pollution
• Complying with all relevant legal, customer, and other third-party requirements
• Adopting best practices applicable to its activities wherever practicable

In order to achieve these commitments, the SPOS Board has set the following measurable objectives to enable the Environmental Policy to be achieved against targets to be reviewed at least annually and continual improvement to be monitored:

• To increase staff environmental awareness
• To reduce energy use on Company premises
• To reduce water consumption on Company premises
• To increase sustainable travel throughout the Company’s activities
• To increase Studio procurement sustainability
• To reduce Studio waste
• To increase Studio recycling
• To increase the use of the Sustainability Work Plan
• To obtain / be shortlisted for awards for sustainable design / ethos of the Company
• To monitor and evaluate the environmental performance of the products we design after delivery

This policy has been defined and endorsed by the Board of SPOS. It is available to the public and is communicated to all persons working for or on behalf of the Company. Responsibility for its implementation lies with the management team, and every member of staff is required to perform their duties in compliance with this policy and related procedures.
